A peek into the culture of trainhopping and hitchhiking. I liked this collection, but for me the juxtaposition of images at the start implied a sort of story (the process of hopping a train), substituting different "characters" as the "story" progressed.

Book description

At 17 Mike Brodie hopped his first train close to his home in Pensacola, FL thinking he would visit a friend in Mobile, AL. Instead the train went in the opposite direction to Jacksonville, FL. Days later, Brodie rode the same train home, arriving back where he started. Nonetheless, it sparked something and Brodie began to wander across the U.S.

Book reviews

"Very interesting book. Must say I ordered it on a whim and am not disappointed. Wish it was a little longer, but the photos are all great. Very youthful, but with a certain oldness to them. It's almost like looking at a book from the heyday of railroad jumping (like the 40s or 50s).
